In this video, we will guide you through the basic functions of text mode and show you how to add and edit text effectively. Whether you’re working on simple lettering or intricate designs, this tutorial will help you navigate the key features and function available in Text Mode.

Here you will learn about the various parameters that you can set for lettering.

These parameters can be found in Text-Mode under Toolbar - parameter (gear wheel).

Width: Adjust the width while keeping the height constant.
Character Space: Modify the gap between letters in % or mm.
Word Space: Set the word space in % or mm to alter the blank width.
Line Width: Adjust line spacing width in % or mm.
Rotation Angle: Rotate characters around their bottom left corner between -179 to 180 degrees.
Tie-off Stitches From: Define the distance between characters for inserting fixing stitches.
Type: Select the Type of fixing and lock stitches.
Trimming From: Set the trimming command between characters.
Never Cut Dots: Prevent trimming between the line and dot of characters like "j", "i", "ä", etc.
With Stitch in Connection: Insert a connection stitch between letters if there is no trim.
Connection: Define how characters connect (original, optimized, or baseline adjustments).
Fill: Set main stitch parameters like stitch distance and underlay distance.
Satin Border: Add a satin stitch around characters for special effects.
Running Border: Add a running line border around characters.
Extended Parameters: Configure additional stitch parameters found in digitizing automations.
Underlayer Options: Center Line, Contour, Zigzag
